Important Notice for California Residents — CIPA Compliance In accordance with California's Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA, Cal. Penal Code § 638.51), Snackish does not deploy non-essential tracking technologies (including the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or any advertising or behavioural analytics trackers) on your browser until you have provided affirmative consent through our cookie consent banner. Essential cookies required for basic site functionality (e.g., shopping cart, checkout session) are the only technologies active prior to consent. By clicking "Accept" or "Accept All" on the cookie banner, you provide express consent to the use of such trackers in compliance with CIPA. If you click "Decline" or "Manage Preferences," only essential cookies will remain active.

The following third-party tracking technologies may be activated upon your consent:

  • Meta Pixel — collects page views, events, and IP address for advertising and remarketing.
  • Google Analytics — collects browsing behaviour, session duration, and device metadata for traffic analysis.
  • Klaviyo — collects email engagement and purchase activity for marketing automation.
  • TikTok Pixel / TikTok Events API — collects page view, add-to-cart, and purchase events to enable TikTok advertising and lookalike audience targeting. Data transmitted to TikTok Inc. (ByteDance).
  • Pinterest Tag — captures page views, add-to-cart, and checkout events for Pinterest ad retargeting and audience building. Data transmitted to Pinterest, Inc.
  • Snapchat Pixel — captures page views and purchase events for Snapchat ad retargeting. Data transmitted to Snap Inc.
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM) — a tag management container that loads and coordinates the third-party tracking scripts listed above. GTM itself does not collect personal data independently. Operated by Google LLC.
  • Gorgias — customer support chat widget that sets session cookies to manage support conversations and track prior interactions. Data transmitted to Gorgias Inc.
  • Okendo — customer review and loyalty platform that sets cookies to display, collect, and syndicate product reviews. Data transmitted to Okendo Pty Ltd.
  • Bazaarvoice — ratings and reviews syndication platform that sets cookies for review display functionality and may share review data with retail partners. Data transmitted to Bazaarvoice, Inc.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share mobile or personal data with third parties, affiliates, or partners for marketing or promotional purposes. We only share data with third parties when it is strictly necessary to deliver our service and only under binding agreements that ensure confidentiality. Under no circumstances will mobile data be shared or sold for advertising or promotional use.

We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g., Shopify, Klaviyo)
  • Advertising partners (e.g., Meta, Google) for retargeting and analytics
  • Shipping carriers to fulfill your orders
  • Legal authorities if required by law or to protect our rights

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@eatsnackish.com.

Canadian Residents (PIPEDA)

  • Right to withdraw consent (subject to legal and contractual restrictions)
  • Right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

US Residents (California — CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Right to request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell data)
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Quebec Residents (Law 25)

  • Right to be informed of the purposes for which personal information is collected
  • Right to access and obtain a copy of your personal information
  • Right to correct inaccurate, incomplete, or equivocal information
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions
  • Right to de-indexation or re-indexation of personal information published online
  • Right to data portability (automated, structured format) for information collected since Sept. 22, 2023
  • Right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI)

Note: Quebec's Law 25 (fully in force since September 22, 2023) requires that Snackish obtain your express consent before collecting personal information used for profiling or advertising purposes, and that we maintain a privacy impact assessment (PIA) for any technology involving personal information. Our cookie consent mechanism is designed to meet this standard.

9. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including SSL encryption for data in transit and access controls for data at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Data Breach Notification In the event of a data breach involving your personal information, Snackish will notify affected individuals and applicable regulatory authorities within the timeframes required by law:
  • Canadian residents — we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) and affected individuals "as soon as feasible" under PIPEDA where there is a real risk of significant harm. Quebec residents will additionally receive notification within 72 hours under Law 25.
  • US residents — we will comply with applicable state breach notification laws, including California's data breach notification statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.29).
Notifications will describe the nature of the breach, the categories of information affected, and the steps we are taking to mitigate harm.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at hello@eatsnackish.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.
